Shopify for Slovak stores
Shopify Payments isn't available in Slovakia yet. Shopify can still be the right fit, it just needs the right setup: the payment gateway, currencies and sometimes the company the store runs under.
What's missing without Shopify Payments
Nothing that can't be solved. But it's good to know up front.
A fee on other gateways
You pay through a local gateway, and Shopify adds 2% on Basic, 1% on Grow, 0.6% on Advanced and 0.2% on Plus.
Several currencies in one store
Shopify supports paying in another currency with Shopify Payments. With a local gateway the customer always pays in the store's base currency, even if an app shows the price in another.
Shop Pay
The fast Shop Pay checkout is part of Shopify Payments, so a store under a Slovak company won't have it.

Which one fits depends on where you sell and which companies you have.
Slovak company, local gateway
The store runs under a Slovak company and payments go through a local gateway. The simplest when you sell mostly in Slovakia.
Two stores, CZ and SK
Each country gets its own store, currency and gateway. A good fit when you sell a lot in both.
A Czech company for both markets
Have a Czech company too? The store can run under it with Shopify Payments and serve Slovakia in euros through Shopify Markets. Slovak VAT is then handled through OSS.
